Micheal studied at Rycotewood College, Thame. Bishop Lonsdale College, Derby and Birmingham School of Art Education, achieving qualifications in Art/Design and a Bachelor of Teaching Degree.
He is known for his distinctive style, using a structure of shapes, patterns, bold vibrant colours to create compositions, developing and evolving an appealing blend of creativity and technique. His ‘Industrial Heritage Portfolio’ defines the instantly recognisable symbol of the North Staffordshire Potteries. Linked with an appreciation of the contribution made by the artistic endeavours of the renowned ceramic industry designers.
Micheal enjoys celebrating his love of art by also visiting local schools in his area, giving talks and demonstrations about his practice, processes and inspirations.
