Jane was born in Newcastle under Lyme and attended the Newcastle School of Art. From there a seven year apprenticeship at Warwick Savage Burslem and went on to be the Graphic Designer for Photopia Ltd. After a spell as a freelance illustrator in the 80s, turned professional artist working with galleries in and around the Potteries. Graduating to exhibit nationally and internationally. Four-time exhibitor with the Royal Society of British Artists, Affordable Art Fair, Dublin Art Fair and Manchester Art Fair and in 2024 created Grandmaster of Fine Art. With a consuming passion for British Wildlife combined with a quirky, dark Staffordshire sense of humour, the main subject of the painting is transformed from a natural pose into a completely obscure and unusual setting……it’s all in the title.
